Easy and Delicious Flatbread Recipe

Why hello there! The Blue Plate Chef is back with another delicious recipe to share with you. Today, I'm excited to share my recipe for easy and tasty flatbread, made with Greek yogurt.

One of the best things about this recipe is how simple it is. All you need is equal parts self-raising flour and 0% fat Greek yogurt. (you may need to experiment with different brands depending on the moisture content of the yogurt.)

Ingredients:

  • Self-raising flour (baking aisle)
  • 0% fat Greek yogurt (dairy aisle)
  • Butter (dairy aisle)
  • Garlic (produce aisle)
  • Parsley (produce aisle)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine equal parts self-raising flour and 0% fat Greek yogurt.
  2. Knead the dough quickly until it's just mixed together. No need to knead the dough for a long time.
  3. Place the dough in a floured bowl and let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Melt butter in a pan and add minced garlic. Cook for a few minutes until fragrant. Add chopped parsley and stir until combined.
  5. Cut up the dough and roll it into circles about 5mm thick. Cut the circles according to the size you want.
  6. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the bread for about 2 minutes on each side, or until it's browned slightly and bubbles form in the bread.
  7. Once the bread is cooked, spread some of the garlic and parsley butter on top for extra flavor.

This flatbread is a great addition to any meal and perfect for serving with soups, stews, salads, or as a wrap for sandwiches. Not only is it easy to make, but it's also a healthier alternative to traditional bread as the Greek yogurt helps reduce the calorie count. So, give this recipe a try and enjoy!
