Greetings, readers! Welcome to the Blue Plate Chef, where I'll be sharing my culinary adventures with you. Before we dive into the world of cooking and baking, let me introduce myself and explain why I'm starting this blog.

I've always loved cooking. There's something therapeutic about preparing vegetables, stirring a pot, and seeing a dish come together. It's my go-to activity when I need to unwind after a long day at work or just want to clear my mind.

So, why the Blue Plate Chef? Well, as a student, I started collecting Deby's blue plates at a from an off-price retailer and second hand stores. Being affordable and my favorite colour, and they quickly became a staple in my kitchen. Over time, I've amassed quite a collection of blue plates, and they've become a symbol of my love for cooking.

But it's not just the color that drew me to Deby's stoneware. I love using their products because they're made in England, (my home country). And, because they're all oven-proof, I can use them for everything from baking a apple crumble to making a souffle in my mugs.

While I always follow a recipe, I'm constantly looking for new ones to try. As a technical cook, I enjoy learning new techniques and experimenting with different flavors. And who knows, as I write this blog, I may become more experimental and start creating my own recipes!

That's where this blog comes in. I want to use this platform to document my favorite recipes, share tips and tricks I've learned along the way, and connect with other food enthusiasts. I hope to inspire you to try new things in the kitchen and make cooking a fun and enjoyable experience.

Of course, I'm also starting this blog for my own enjoyment. I want to create a space where I can keep all of my recipes and memories in one place, and share them with my family and friends.

So, that's the gist of it. I hope you'll join me on this culinary journey, and maybe we can even share a meal on one of my trusty blue plates. Stay tuned for more recipes, anecdotes, and (hopefully) some hints of humor. Let's get cooking!
